1. Henderland Business Consulting, Stoneboro,
PA (Mar 2006 - present): Henderland Business Consulting was founded in March 2006.
Henderland Business Consulting provides expertise to customers
in the following areas: Website Design/Hosting,
Internet Technologies, Business Marketing, and Business Development. Responsibilities include IT and Business consulting, website design, network design and installation, and on-site troubleshooting and support.
2. USAtek, Inc., Sandy Lake,
PA (Jan 2005 to Feb 2006): Chief Technical Officer for USAtek, a nationwide Internet and Computer service company which is the combined operations of Certainty Tech and Portal Systems Networks, Inc. Responsible for technology vision, new services, vendor management, ISP operations, and customer service. Directly supervised a technical staff of seven employees. Also continued to fulfill most of the responsibilities as Managing Partner of Certainty Tech (listed below) during this time.
3. Certainty Tech (now a div. of USAtek Inc.),
Sandy Lake, PA (Sep 2000 to Dec 2004): Managing Partner of Internet and computer services company, Certainty Tech. Served a three county region providing: Internet services, Business IT Services, Computer Sales/Service, and Computer Training. Built and managed all facets of an Internet service provider business - backbone network, sales, customer service, and billing. Responsibilities and achievements included:
- Successful Entrepreneur: Grew business from zero to 2400 Internet customers over 3 year period in a rural region
- Owner and Managing Partner: Full time partner and manager. Managed four full time and three part time employees. Acted as their direct supervisor and provided mentoring to the technicians and staff
- System administration, integration, and programming: Provided setup and support of production Internet servers running Sun Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD, and Windows 2000/2003 servers. Designed, setup, and supported production services: Apache and IIS web servers, Bind DNS servers, Squid caching servers, Qmail and Vpopmail mail server, radius authentication servers, and developed Perl based Web mail solution for Internet customers that matched or exceeded all features of the big ISPs. Also customized and supported ASP and PHP billing systems with SQLserver and PostgreSQL database backends.

(Jul 1998 to Dec 2002): IT contracting and staffing company for the automotive industry
- Systems Consultant - Transportek contracted consulting services to New Venture Gear (NVG) of Troy, MI. Provided computer-related research, project management, and technical expertise for NVG in their Engineering Services division. Engineering Services Manager relied on my technical expertise and research to make appropriate decisions regarding various system issues. Executed and coordinated projects for all corporate Engineering locations to ensure proper and consistent implementation of technologies. Responsible for overseeing, training, and mentoring the remote System Administrators and provided remote systems support for NVG's UK office. Provided support and programming for a Perl based application used to view Engineering drawings company wide. Successfully telecommuted remotely for NVG from home office in PA with periodic on-sight visits.
5. New Venture Gear, Inc., Troy, MI (Nov 1996
to Jun 1998): Leading drive-train component supplier in the automotive industry
- CAD Systems Administrator - Provided
CAD systems support for Engineering Headquarters. Very effective
at improving the existing systems and user productivity despite
restrictive budgets. Responsibilities as Team Leader included
four main areas:
- Systems Administration
- supported, maintained, and improved CAD workstations. General
system administration of UNIX servers, UNIX and NT workstations,
and Windows/PC support.
- Database Administration - Oracle database
administration in a UNIX environment. Multi-site implementation
of databases. Responsible for support of Oracle application
CMS as a PDM solution.

1993) - Involved in the design of new products and development
of existing products from conception to production. Co-inventor
of US Patent 5386783.
